The tournament day

The tournament day is the acid test for any tournament software. This is how MAP passes it:

  1. Check-in desk: athlete checked in for her first bout

    Entrance

Check-in by name or ID card, bout by bout – at the station, no account needed.

  2. Weigh-in: second attempt within the limit, both weighings logged

    Weigh-in

Limit checked, two attempts, every weighing logged.

  3. “Follow athlete” on a phone: next bout on mat 2, two more before you

    Call-up

“2 more before you” and the approximate time – on the phones of athletes and families.

  4. Mat pad on a phone: bout 1 of 16, winner by tap

    Mat

Result with one tap, fixed bout numbers.

  5. Hall display: current bout, up next and get ready

    Projector

Who is fighting, who is getting ready, who is leading – for the whole hall.

  6. Certificate and medal table as PDFs

    Evening

Certificates, medal table and results as PDFs.

Scoreboard at the mat

Clock, points, penalties, rounds: the whole bout is recorded right there, and the result lands in the tournament without anyone retyping it. One mat, one screen, done.

Projector and award ceremony

Schedule, brackets and results for the hall – and the next group can already see when they are up.

Judges without accounts

Everyone gets their own link – no account, no password. Scoring happens on screen, by gamepad or on their own phone; a hit only counts once the majority gives it.

Rescheduling without chaos

Bring a bout forward, move it to another mat or change the order: the bout number stays, and every display in the hall follows. If a check-in is missing, MAP suggests what can be brought forward instead.

The hall is part of it

Spectators follow their athlete by QR code, see “two bouts to go” and get the call-up on their phone – even when it is in their pocket.
